About the event

Join Women in Planning North East for a special multi-disciplinary CPD event this March, kindly hosted at Cundall's offices (Level 10, Bank House), inspired by the UN International Women's Day theme for 2026: Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.


This event will feature 3 fabulous speakers exploring how various elements of policymaking and design can contribute to creating inclusive and welcoming places for women and girls, and ultimately, for everyone.

Emma Ormerod - Senior Lecturer in Economic Geography, Centre for Urban and Regional Development Studies, Newcastle University – Resetting the Agenda: Investigating the Gendered Power-relations in the Leadership of Regional Development and Policy Making
