About the event

Women in Planning NE branch are celebrating some leading women in the planning industry in our region for International Women's Day!


Join us at 10am at Ward Hadaway's office for coffee, light refreshments and networking, followed by a conversation with Louise Sloan, Chris Pipe, and Jan Bessell as they each reflect, in their owns way, on their journeys through the industry between 10:45 and 12:00.


For those who may not know them, please see a short bio of each our three speakers below.


With a wealth of experience in urban planning and development, Louise Sloan became Assistant Director of Planning at Newcastle City Council in August 2022. Prior to that, she was Planning and Housing Lead at South Tyneside Council and a Strategic and Sustainable Plans Manager at Sunderland City Council. Passionate about urban design, transportation planning, land use management and community engagement, Louise is responsible for ensuring that development…
