About the event
Join Women in Planning North East for a Heritage Pub Walk & Networking, hosted by Principal Heritage Consultant Eleanor Scott.
We’ll kick off promptly at 5:15pm at The Town Wall, Pink Lane, Newcastle, to allow time to get settled and enjoy some networking and a welcome drink kindly sponsored by Pegasus Group..
At 5:30pm Eleanor will provide a brief introduction to the itinerary and content of the walk, following which we will depart the Town Wall at 6pm.
From there, Eleanor will lead us on a fascinating tour around some of Newcastle's longest-standing and most well-loved pubs and hospitality venues, primarily around the city centre and Quayside areas. Along the route we'll stop at a number of pubs that tell the story of Newcastle's development, from its industrial and mercantile past to its modern identity as a vibrant cultural city.
