Sussex

Claire Tester has worked in local government planning in Hampshire and Sussex since 1990, including as Head of Planning at Mid Sussex District Council. She advised the High Weald National Landscape (AONB) Partnership for 6 years and then joined the South Downs National Park Authority in 2022 where she is now the Planning Policy Manager.

Claire is a chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and volunteers on several of the Institute’s Committees.  In her spare time, she can be found walking the South Downs with her mother’s black labrador Bess or helping look after a friend’s horses.
