Women in Planning is pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Green, Associate Planner at Avison Young, London, to the national committee as a co-chair to support Alison Mackay and Charlotte Morphet whilst Mary Fortune is on maternity leave.

Kate is a Chartered Town Planner with 5 years’ experience. She is currently an Associate Planner in Avison Young’s Planning, Regeneration and Development team and is based in London. Kate provides planning advice to a range of public and private sector clients on planning strategy, process and development plans, together with development management matters. Kate has experience in preparing major planning applications, coordinating the efforts of multi-disciplinary teams and engaging in the preparation and examination of development plan documents. Kate was co-founder and co-chair of Women in Planning West Midlands, before moving to co-chair the Solent branch. She has assisted in the coordination of the Women in Planning #thoughtexchange social media campaign and maintaining cross-branch relationships during the pandemic. She was awarded the RTPI West Midlands Young Planner of the Year Award 2019.
